  • Acorns
  • Ribbon
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Bells 
  • Scissors

Step 1: Using your hot glue gun, put glue in the ‘hat’ of the acorn 2: Place the acorn cap on top of the bell
Step 3: Cut ribbon to desired length, and attach middle of the ribbon to the top of the acorn hat, with the hot glue gun
Step 4: Tie the ends of the ribbon together, creating a knot.
Step 5: Use as decorations or ornaments

Acorn Owl

Get ready to make a super cute acorn owl.
Supplies
  • Yellow Paper 
  • White Crayon
  • Hot Glue Gun 
  • Scissors 
  • Acorns
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Brown paper
Step 1: Cut out small tear shapes for the wings
Step 2: Using the white crayon, draw feathers on the wings
Step 3: Cut a small triangle out of yellow cardstock paper for the beak
Step 4: Glue eyes, wings, and beak onto acorn

  • Leaf
  • Pen
  • Scissors 
  • Paper Crimper
  • Cardstock paper
Step 1: Using your pen, trace the leaf onto cardstock paper.
Step 2: Cut out the outline of your leaf with your scissors.
Step 3: Using your hole punch, punch a hole into the leaf
Step 4: Put your leaf through the paper crimper
Step 5: Thread twine through the hole, and tie a knot at the end. Hang from ceiling, or use as a tag.

Pencil Pointers

 As I was looking through back to school crafts, I came across these cute pencil pointers, and I just had to post them! They are so cute, and would be so easy to make!  Use them as a pointer when reading with your kids, or make it just for fun.. 
Supplies
  • Jumbo Popsicle sticks
  • Yellow Acrylic paint
  • Pink Acrylic Paint
  • Black Sharpie
  • Paint brush

Step 1: Paint the Popsicle stick yellow, leaving 1 inch at the top without paint.
Step 2: Paint the bottom of the pencil (1 inch) pink to make the eraser
Step 3: Using your black sharpie, draw the pencil tip on the top of the Popsicle stick (the part without paint)

Decorative Clothespin

  • Clothespin

Step 1: Trace the top of the clothespin onto a piece of patterned paper
Step 2: Cut out the shape you traced
Step 3: Glue strip of paper onto the top of the clothespin

*You can also use these as refrigerator magnets, just glue a magnet to the back of the clothespin*

  • Gluestick

Step 1: Using your letter punch, punch desired letter in the bottom of the paint sampler
Step 2: Glue both paint samplers together (make sure colored part is on the outside)
Step 3: Using your hole punch, punch a circle in the top of your bookmark
Step 4: Thread ribbon through the hole, and tie at the bottom

Starting of a new school year

The starting of the school year is just around the corner! This is an exciting time for parents and students! Make the best of the new school year by making fun crafts that get your kids excited for school!

Notebook shirt

Supplies: 
  • White T-shirt 
  • Red fabric paint
  • blue fabric paint 
  • cardboard 
  • foam brush 
  • Folder
Step 1: Put cardboard on the inside of the shirt, so the paint does not seep through to the other side
Step 2:  brush  blue paint on the folded part of your folder
Step 3: Using the folder as a stamp, press down painted part of your folder *horizontally* down onto your shirt *this should make the first line*Step 4: Repeat step number 3 until you have desired number of lines on your shirt.
Step 5: Using your foam brush, line the folded part of your folder with red paint
Step 6: Press down the painted side of your folder *vertically* down on your shirt. *this should make the margin line on the left side of the paper*
Step 7: Let your shirt dry

Step 1: Paint pot and bottom of pot red with acrylic paint
Step 2: form a brown stem with baking clay *make sure the bottom of the stem is flat, so it will glue easily to the lid of your pot*
Step 3: follow baking instruction on clay package, and bake clay stem
Step 3: glue the stem to the pot using hot glue gun
Step 4 glue fake leaf to stem

Citronella Candle

  • Mason jars
  • 100% cotton rope
  • Citronella oil
  • Hammer
  • Nail
Step 1: Hammer a hole in the middle of the Mason Jar Lid using the nail
Step 2: Cut a piece of rope (long enough to coil in the bottom of the jar, and come out the top)
Step 3: Put tape around the top of the rope (to make it easier to get through the lid)
Step 4: Pull about 3 inches of rope up through the bottom of the lid
Step 5: cut off the tape
Step 6: Pour citronella oil into the jar (fill about 1/4 of the way full)
Step 7: Make sure rope is at the bottom of the jar, and twist lid on
Step 6: Wait 15 minutes for oil to soak into the rope
Step 7: Light your candle and enjoy!

Colonial Flag

  • 11 Popsicle sticks
  • Blue Acrylic paint
  • Red Acrylic Paint
  • White Acrylic Paint
  • Stars
  • Red Ribbon
  • Glue
  • Paper stars

Step 1: Using your red acrylic paint, paint 3 Popsicle sticks red
Step 2: Using your white acrylic paint, paint 3 Popsicle sticks white
Step 3: Paint 3 Popsicle sticks half red, half blue
Step 4: Paint 2 Popsicle sticks half white half blue
Step 3: Set out 2 pieces of ribbon vertically
Step 4: Glue top of Popsicle sticks to one of the ribbons, and the bottom to the other (horizontally)
Step 5: Continue step 4 until flag is finished
Step 6: Glue 13 paper stars into a circle shape (on top of blue part of flag)
Step 7: Tie the ends of the ribbon together, creating place to hang the flag from
